The ARTG compliant* Complete Microbiome Mapping test panel employs quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) to gain insight into any harmful bacteria residing within the the gastrointestinal tract. This highly advanced test will provide the user with a detailed report on the health of the digestive system, and that includes Candida testing, and much more.
Included test panels:
- Existing Pathogens,
- Non Pathogens,
- Potential Pathogens,
- Naturally occurring agents like Berberine and Garlic,
- Short Chain Fatty Acids (SCFAs),
- Antibiotic Susceptibility Testing,
- Candida Tests. (list below)
GIT Markers included in this test and can be viewed further down this page.
What can this test reveal?
The Complete Microbiome Mapping test designed by nutriPATH™. analyzes DNA for trace amounts of common pathogens and commensal bacteria:
- Parasites/Worms,
- Opportunistic Bacteria,
- Fungi/Yeast, (Candida)
- Bacterial Pathogens,
- Viral Pathogens,
- Beneficial Bacteria.
Candida Testing
Candida (Candidiasis) is widespread, presenting in a variety of uncomfortable physical symptoms for anyone unlucky enough to experience it. The severity of those symptoms ranges from mild in some, lasting only a few days, to severe or even debilitating for others. Proactive research can provide the necessary insights into an individual’s susceptibility to Candida by type (see below), and prove useful when tailoring an individual health care plan.
- Candida albicans,
- Candida glabrata,
- Candida guilliermondii,
- Candida krusei,
- Candida parapsilosis,
- Candida tropicalis.
Antibiotic susceptibility testing (AST)
Next gen’ VITEK®2 microbial ID/AST systems are used by the testing laboratory to detect the suitability of commonly prescribed antibiotics:
- Ampicillin
- Amox./Clavulanic Acid
- Cephalothin
- Ciprofloxacin
- Tetracycline
- Trimethoprim/Sulfa
As can be seen within the sample report (above right), this test presents a number of clinical applications providing a wealth of data for the user.
GIT markers observed
With the Complete Microbiome Mapping we are able to observe the following important GIT Markers;
- Faecal Occult Blood,
- Calprotectin,
- Pancreatic Elastase,
- sIgA,
- Zonulin,
- glucoronidase,
- Short Chain Fatty Acid
The full list of GIT Markers can be viewed within the Sample Report (above right).
